Scarface (Feat. Jay Z and Beanie Sigel)- Guess Who's Back

Wow, a week with no posts. I'm slacking. This is a great song for me because it has two of my favorite rappers in different roles than people are used to. Jay Z is featuring on the album and Kanye West is the producer of the track. This is, in my opinion, one of the best Kanye-produced songs he's done. So if you like hip-hop enjoy.

The Man In Me

I happened upon this by accident today. It's footage of Jeff Bridges singing "The Man In Me" by Bob Dylan which was featured extensively in The Big Lebowski. In terms of video/audio quality it is not great but if you are a fan of Bob Dylan, The Big Lebwoski, Jeff Bridges or any combination of the three, you will probably find this video very entertaining.

Bloc Party- This Modern Love

Sorry I haven't posted in a while... been busy with class and just had my final for Organic Chemistry I today. I was trying to hold off on posting this song, but since I haven't posted in a while I thought I would make it up by posting it. This is my favorite song of all time, off of my favorite album of all time. This song is honestly one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. Also, the drum fill at 3:52 is the reason I picked up a pair of drumsticks and started playing drums. It's a very special song for me, and I hope it turns into one for you.

The Black Keys- I Got Mine

The Black Keys have been rising in popularity with their latest album, Brothers, and with their extremely popular single, Tighten Up. The album that put them on a lot of people's radars, Attack and Release, is just as good as Brothers and has one of the band's best songs. Enjoy the song that introduced me to this Blues Rock duo.

Beirut- Nantes

Another incredible performance of an incredible song. Zach Condon is another one of those people who just get it musically. They've heard all the other stuff and go back to what they really enjoy playing and listening to. The implementation of brass in his music as well as the ukulele just show how you can find incredible things in places you didn't know were there. Granted, this might sound like music from Eastern Europe during WWII, but its still damn good music and we need more of it. If you like this check out Elephant Gun and Postcards from Italy. Enjoy.
